WHERE & WHEN
SPRINGTIME is back from 6 – 8 September 2023, taking place on the first weekend of Spring every year!
The festival is held on the beach and streets of Surfers Paradise on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. If you need a meeting spot, the iconic Surfers Paradise sign at the Esplanade is the heart of the festival!
There will be a dedicated accessible view area for the Beach Stage, which can be accessed via a beach ramp connected by a beach access mat. For more accessibility information at SPRINGTIME, click here.
If you’d like more information on accessibility within the festival precinct or Surfers Paradise in general, please check out the Surfers Paradise Mobility Map.
Join the party and stay for the weekend with countless accommodation options available in and around Surfers Paradise. Stay right in the heart of the festival and within walking distance of the action!
Find the best places to stay here.
Set on the beachfront of Surfers Paradise, bring anything you normally would for a beach day! Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, picnic blanket and your good vibes!
If you’d like to visit our Friends of SPRINGTIME venues, you will need to bring a valid ID.
As SPRINGTIME operates within public areas of the Surfers Paradise precinct, alcohol cannot be consumed in a public area. There will be licensed fenced areas throughout the festival as well as partner venues where you can soak up the good times and enjoy an alcoholic beverage.
Hop on the G:Link tram and hop off at the Cavill Avenue stop! You’ll be at the heart of the festival as soon as you arrive, and will be just a quick walk away from our outdoor stages. See more travel and transport tips to SPRINGTIME here.
We will have security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.
If you require assistance during the event, please call the Patron Safety Hotline: 0478 237 310 (Number operational during the festival only).
No, SPRINGTIME is not a fenced festival because we are based in Surfers Paradise, which is an open precinct. This means no tickets are required for entry either!
VANS Skate Plaza
The Vans Skate Plaza is open to experienced skaters only. If you’re wanting to try skating for the first time, this is probably not the best place!
Skateboard hiring will not be available. Please bring your own skateboard if you’re wanting to skate.
The Vans Skate Plaza has been specifically designed by skateboarding professionals to suit skateboards only. Therefore roller skates and scooters will not be permitted inside the Plaza.
Sorry, there won’t be a dedicated storage area for skateboards.
Quest of Chaos
Quest of Chaos is an interactive performance installation, that’s one part obstacle course and one part live action video game! Participants will go through a serious of physical and mental obstacle challenges to collect crystals in an attempt to defeat King Chaos!

Thanks for your interest! We’re not currently accepting volunteer applications for 2023.
Thanks for wanting to get involved but SPRINGTIME operates in a precinct with a heap of good restaurants, cafes and bars. As a result, it’s unlikely that additional food vendors and market stalls will be needed.
But you can check out the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets for stall applications as the market will be held during SPRINGTIME.
If you’ve got a sponsorship opportunity that you want to share with us, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll be in touch!
