IT'S FREE?
That’s right! You don’t need to pay to see the SPRINGTIME lineup. Our festival is set in an open precinct with no fences, which means no tickets are required. Our main lineup and outdoor stages are all free to attend and open to all ages.
ALL AGES & YOUTH POLICY
Yes! SPRINGTIME is a festival for all ages. Set in Surfers Paradise, which is an open precinct, all our festival stages have no age restrictions. However, please be mindful that our Friends of SPRINGTIME venues, as well as licensed festival bars are age restricted.
WHERE & WHEN
SPRINGTIME is back from 6 – 8 September 2023, taking place on the first weekend of Spring every year!
The festival is held on the beach and streets of Surfers Paradise on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. If you need a meeting spot, the iconic Surfers Paradise sign at the Esplanade is the heart of the festival!
LINEUP
The 2023 SPRINGTIME lineup was led by artists like Matt Corby, BENEE, Bag Raiders plus many more. Check out the entire lineup for 2023 here and stay tuned for updates on the 2024 lineup!
The music is just the beginning when it comes to SPRINGTIME! The Arts Program for 2023 featured live murals by artists YEAHYEAHCHLOE and Malara Rise, as well as a totally new participatory performance installation from Shock Therapy Arts called Quest of Chaos!
FESTIVAL INFO
There will be a dedicated accessible view area for the Beach Stage, which can be accessed via a beach ramp connected by a beach access mat. For more accessibility information at SPRINGTIME, click here.

Set on the beachfront of Surfers Paradise, bring anything you normally would for a beach day! Water bottle, sunscreen, hat, picnic blanket and your good vibes!
If you’d like to visit our Friends of SPRINGTIME venues, you will need to bring a valid ID.
As SPRINGTIME operates within public areas of the Surfers Paradise precinct, alcohol cannot be consumed in a public area. There will be licensed fenced areas throughout the festival as well as partner venues where you can soak up the good times and enjoy an alcoholic beverage.
Hop on the G:Link tram and hop off at the Cavill Avenue stop! You’ll be at the heart of the festival as soon as you arrive, and will be just a quick walk away from our outdoor stages. See more travel and transport tips to SPRINGTIME here.
We will have security based at each of the stages and roving throughout the festival footprint, supported by a Queensland Police Service team.

No, SPRINGTIME is not a fenced festival because we are based in Surfers Paradise, which is an open precinct. This means no tickets are required for entry either!
VANS Skate Plaza
The Vans Skate Plaza is open to experienced skaters only. If you’re wanting to try skating for the first time, this is probably not the best place!
Skateboard hiring will not be available. Please bring your own skateboard if you’re wanting to skate.
The Vans Skate Plaza has been specifically designed by skateboarding professionals to suit skateboards only. Therefore roller skates and scooters will not be permitted inside the Plaza.
Sorry, there won’t be a dedicated storage area for skateboards.
Quest of Chaos
Quest of Chaos is an interactive performance installation, that’s one part obstacle course and one part live action video game! Participants will go through a serious of physical and mental obstacle challenges to collect crystals in an attempt to defeat King Chaos!
Participants must be aged 12 and above and will be required to sign a waiver to participate. For those under 18 years, a parent or guardian will need to be present to sign the waiver.
All participants must be wearing a t-shirt and shorts at a minimum, but no shoes required!

Friday 1 September:

5:30PM – 8:00PM
Saturday 2 September:
1:30PM – 4:00PM
5:30PM – 8:00PM
Sunday 3 September:
1:30PM – 3:30PM
5:30PM – 7:00PM

Thanks for your interest! We’re not currently accepting volunteer applications for 2023.
Thanks for wanting to get involved but SPRINGTIME operates in a precinct with a heap of good restaurants, cafes and bars. As a result, it’s unlikely that additional food vendors and market stalls will be needed.
But you can check out the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets for stall applications as the market will be held during SPRINGTIME.
